My birth father, whom I deemed unfit for fatherhood, died in a prison cell in China. This video essay depicts an imagined conversation between him and me, as his sudden death left us no chance for a final conversation. In doing so, I reflect upon the traumatic past of my childhood and reconcile the damaged relationship between us.
